Sunday school just got a whole lot of gratuitous slow-motion. The Hollywood Reporter reports that director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) has come onboard to helm Goliath, which will take the famous David-and-Goliath Bible story and turn it into a 300-style adventure movie. This isn’t the first time that the Bible and 300 have made for interesting Hollywood bedfellows: In 2007, director Drew Heriot compared his planned Jesus biopic to Zack Snyder’s swords-and-Spartans saga.
