Summit Entertainment gave Mel Gibson the final cut of The Beaver, in which he stars, for him to enjoy at home. After screening it, Gibson put the DVD back in his mailbox to send back to Summit, and it was reportedly stolen from the mailbox. The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is now on the case, which is being investigated as “petty theft.” Probably not his fault, but sometimes it seems like you just can’t trust Mel Gibson with anything. [TMZ]
