Sofia Vergara may have had to content herself with her Golden Globes on Sunday, losing out on a Golden Globe to Jane Lynch in the Best Supporting Actress category, but she’s already bouncing back (pun acknowledged, not intended). Last night’s Modern Family opened with a bit that will surely make her awards reel for next year (going right alongside her impeccable delivery of “Shia Labeouf”). Having accidentally hit “send” on a mean e-mail to Claire, Vergara’s Gloria freaks out, bordering on bereft. It’s not the improper English that sells this (that’s getting to be sort of a cheap laugh for Gloria), it’s the little nostril flair and lip grimace of sadness that comes right after she says “it sended” and right before she whispers, “please, come back.” We feel you, girl; it’s what “Undo Send” was made for.
