It’s a great time for TV comedy. Networks are giving more and more off-beat comedies a chance, veteran shows are putting out some of their best content ever, and now both The Larry Sanders Show and Mr. Show are even running in syndication on IFC. But the bad part about all this is that it can be very hard to keep track of when to watch what. With so many new and notable shows premiering, and our old favorites forever vacillating between new episodes and reruns, we thought a weekly guide to what’s going on would be helpful.
As for this week, there’s nothing new on NBC’s Thursday night lineup, but we have lots of other bright spots to look forward to. Notably, the premieres of The Onion SportsDome on Comedy Central and The Ricky Gervais Show on HBO, another new episode of Bob’s Burgers, a bunch of great comedy guests on some late night talk shows, and lots of other stuff! You’ll barely have time to do anything else, as if you would ever want to.
