With a Revamped Record Label, Eminem’s Career Resurgence Continues

Since kicking his addiction to prescription medicine, Eminem has methodically built his career back to where it was before the pills: First there were the album sales and high-profile tour, then there were the movie roles — and now there’s the return of Shady Records. After a few months of speculation, Em has officially signed indie-rap supergroup Slaughterhouse and fellow white rapper Yelawolf to the previously dormant label; the whole gang covers next month’s XXL. These are not necessarily commercially viable acts, so it’s nice to see Eminem sign people just because he wants to work with them. It’s also nice to see Eminem continue to make a full clean-living return. Just say no, kids! [RapRadar]
