And Now, Charlie Sheen Belittles His Employers

Charlie Sheen called in to “The Dan Patrick Show” this morning, all raspy voiced, to do a distasteful little riff about how he’s totally ready to go back to work. Sheen also implied that it’s the executives who put the show on hiatus so Sheen could not die go to rehab who are actually the horrible jerks of this situation. Patrick said to Sheen, “You’re on hiatus?” and Sheen replied, “No, we’re on forced hiatus. They said you get ready, we’ll get ready. I got ready, I went back, and nobody’s there. I don’t know what to tell you, Dan, nobody’s there.” Patrick then asked how Sheen, the star of the show, could not know what the deal was, seeing as “they can’t do One and a Half Men.” Sheen answered, “No, and that was clearly revealed when they had to bring me back this year. I don’t know what to tell you, man. I’m here and I’m ready, they’re not. Bring it.” (The tone Sheen achieves on that “bring it” belongs in the sneering, condescending delivery hall of fame.) Asked when the show was supposed to resume, Sheen snarked, “I believe August of 2014.” Oh, Charlie, if only. [TMZ]
