Clearasil Stands Up to the Parents Television Council, Sticks With Skins

Unlike a whole bunch of other advertisers, Clearasil is refusing to be intimidated away from associating with Skins by the big bad Parents Television Council. Despite being directly targeted by the PTC via Facebook (“Go post on their page, call and fax them. Ask them how they can reconcile their actions — paying for Skins to air with their goals — always striving to make life easier for our consumers”), Clearasil is keeping all its ads that are run during the show. A moment, then, to salute the brave folks over at the anti-zit company; they, for one, support Americans’ right to see teens pretending to have sex and make out. Thank you, people at Clearasil — you are all heroes today. [HR]
