Jimmy Fallon at the MMI Salute to Alec Baldwin

Yesterday, Vulture brought you Tina Fey’s speech from the Museum of the Moving Image’s salute to Alec Baldwin. Today, we have Jimmy Fallon expounding on the same subject: the greatness of Mr. Baldwin. “He’s the nicest guy in the world,” Fallon told us. “I remember when I first started on Saturday Night Live, he actually said, ‘What’s your name? You’re the new guy.’ I’m like, ‘It’s Jimmy Fallon.’ He goes, ‘Jimmy Fallon, I’m going to say your name more than anyone’s ever said your name on television tonight. Tell your parents to watch, and all your friends.’ And he went on for the monologue, and he says, ‘Come here, Jimmy Fallon.’ And I counted six times he said my name, and I was just freaking out. And my parents and everyone were calling the next day; there were all these answering-machine messages, like, ‘Alec Baldwin said your name six times!’ It’s, like, a really big deal when you’re just starting out, and I’ll never forget that.” For more pro-Baldwin quotes, click through our Party Lines slideshow.
