“Barefoot Contessa” Ina Garten has finally agreed to meet with leukemia victim Enzo Pereda, after twice rejecting the six-year-old’s Make-A-Wish Foundation request to cook a meal with his favorite chef. After the story became public last week, Garten suddenly had a change of heart, claiming she didn’t know about his previous two requests and her previous denials. “Ina became aware of Enzo’s story this weekend and will be calling him today. She looks forward to inviting him to spend some time with her at the Food Network studios,” said a rep for Garten on Monday. But oh, it may be too late: Make-A-Wish has already moved on to granting Pereda’s second wish: swimming with dolphins.
