Interested to see how Kevin Smith will end his illustrious film career? Does the fact that John Goodman will likely be in it sweeten the deal? Yesterday Smith posted a scene from his final film Hit Sombody, a hockey movie “most likely” starring Goodman and based on a Warren Zevon song of the same name. Based on the available scene, Smith will be exiting on a black comedy note, given that (spoiler alert!) the scene involves a young boy’s father dangling dead from a flag pole. “Worst part was nobody knew it right away. So my Dad hung up on that roof ‘til dark. The whole neighborhood just waved at him. Goddamn the overly-polite Illinois suburbs…” Goodman’s character muses after a flashback. Seems like just the right note to go out on to me.
