It’s uncanny how similar an unintentionally hilarious song like Kory Shore’s “Crying For America” can be to a season two Tim & Eric sketch. The lighting effects, the green screen Mt. Rushmore, the Ben Franklin voice over, the fact that that we hear violin music when the kid is actually playing the piano. How far can comedians keep heightening when the actual genre is a genre parody in and of itself? We can only shoot for the moon, and pray we land among the Paynus.
