When it comes to Fox’s ambitious dino-drama Terra Nova, we’ve come to expect a few setbacks (including a fired writing staff, a scrapped Comic-Con panel, and some premiere date pushback). Still, you’d be forgiven for thinking that all the new commercials advertising the show – not to mention the ambitious press push – meant that Fox would stick to its most recent plan of debuting Terra Nova’s series premiere in May, then launching the first season in the fall (a release pattern the network employed to great success with Glee). Alas, no: “We are pushing back the special early preview date to give the visual effects team the time needed for their ground-breaking work,” said Fox president Kevin Reilly today. Instead, the whole enchilada will premiere in the fall like some sort of normal show. Where’s the fun in that?
