Geoffrey Rush has been tapped to voice the role of “bird-beaked alien” Tomar-Re, an intergalactic police officer and totally CGI character, in Martin Campbell’s upcoming Green Lantern. Tomar-Re is a scientist who joins the Green Lantern police corps and trains Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) to use his cosmic powers. Rush will have to, well, rush to meet the film’s June 17 release date.
