What to Watch/DVR This Week

As March comes to a close and April comes to an open, TV has lined up a few things to make the transition as easy as clicking a remote! Or as easy as going to sleep and then waking up again and having it be a new month.

Tonight we have the season premiere of Showtime’s The United States of Tara, at 10:30. Which Tara state is your favorite? My favorite is “normal Tara.”

Later in the week we’ll have a few appearances of the greatest talk show guest ever, Norm Macdonald, doing what he’s the greatest at: being a talk show guest. First on Letterman Wednesday night, and then Thursday night on the Daily Show.

Also on Thursday night you can catch John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central, featuring Maria Bamford, Deon Cole, and others. That’s good for you because all of your NBC shows, except Perfect Couples (RIP), are going to be in reruns. Booooo!

Closing out the week we’ll have a new episode of Saturday Night Live, featuring Elton John as both the host and musical guest. So “don’t go breakin’ my heart,” if you know what I mean, and check out the rest of the listings!
