Fight for Your Right: Revisited, or the Beastie Boys Dance Fight Through Time

The Beastie Boys’ Fight For Your Right: Revisited, which aired last night on MTV and Comedy Central, is slow, creepy and downright bizarre. In the best way possible. During the short film, Mike D, MCA and Ad-Rock trash an apartment at Stanley Tucci and Susan Sarandon’s place with pie and a sledgehammer, get stabbed by Chloe Sevigny, and drop acid with Maya Rudolph. After destroying ever plate glass window in the city, the Boys’ (played by Danny McBride, Seth Rogen and Elijah Wood) encounter themselves from the future (Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Jack Black), complete with Delorean. The only option when confronted with such a violation of the space-time continuum? Break dance fight, followed shortly by a pee fight. None of the guys even seem to mind having jets of hot urine shooting in their mouth. That’s hardcore. What the Beastie Boys 2.0 and Original Flavor do mind, however, is having the po-po slam them in paddy wagon and cart them away. Can’t a free man urinate in another man’s face in this police state? Sounds like it’s time to fight.
