It’s only been about a year and a half since Ben Silverman left NBC, after an amusingly botched stint at running its programming. But the network is already trusting him again: Via Silverman’s new company, Electus, NBC has acquired Fashion Star, a salt-of-the-earth Project Runway in which designers make stuff like bathing suits or jeans, to be hosted by Elle MacPherson.
