The new trailer for Terra Nova is mostly footage from the previous trailer: brief shots of dinosaurs, a leathery white-haired gentleman bellowing “welcome to Terra Nova, folks,” Jason O’Mara insisting that “we’re starting over — as a family!” But it has a slightly more optimistic, forward-facing outlook: “A new world, a second chance, a better tomorrow” puts an ostensibly ethos-driven, emotional spin on the concept of traveling 85 million years into the past. Puny human connections aside, if the show is good, it should be re-christened Terra Whoa-va!, and if it’s bad, Terra No Fun. Time to finish those special effects, folks.
