Without giving anything away, we’d like to heap hosannas on Source Code for having a great ending. The last scene is intelligent and emotional and there’s a hell of a final image … the only problem? The movie keeps going after that, and then there’s another, far less effective ending. Of course, this isn’t the first time a film didn’t know when to quit — who didn’t watch Steven Spielberg’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence and wish that it had the guts to wrap up with Haley Joel Osment at the bottom of the ocean instead of adding an additional, unwieldy epilogue? Which other films have had one (or even two!) endings too many?
