ABC’s Canadian import Combat Hospital starts airing at the end of June, and based on this promo, it looks like a lower-budget Grey’s Anatomy in camouflage. Combat is set in a military hospital in Afghanistan in 2006, and while lines like “that wasn’t in the manual!” leave a little something to be desired (that something is perhaps nuance?), let us not look a scripted gifthorse in the mouth. Combat could be okay! Rookie Blue, ABC’s other Canadian show, is adequate!
