Good news this past weekend for fans of the late, lamented Pushing Daisies: In addition to creator Bryan Fuller tweeting the first two pages of the new Pushing Daisies comic book, the show’s leading man, Lee Pace, has picked up a big new role: the Elven King Thranduil in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. (Yes, The Hobbit finally cast a new role with someone you have heard of.) This will be Pace’s second crack at a massive fantasy franchise, as last fall, he was cast as Robert Pattinson’s best friend in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Business is good for the Pie Maker.
