President Obama Kills It at the WHCA Dinner

I know he’s making some of the same jokes the Colbert Report and The Daily Show have been making…forever, but there is something particularly gasp-inducing about watching POTUS zing everyone in the political arena. The Lion King clip alone was enough to make my monocle fall off into one of my several martini glasses. While it’s almost all gold, here are a few of the best zingers in President Obama’s White House Correspondents Dinner performance:

On Matt Damon’s disappointment in Obama’s work: “I just saw The Adjustment Bureau, so right back at you, buddy.”

On pairing with wife Michelle for the Easter Egg Hunt: “I’d give out bags of candy to the kids, and she snatched them right back out of their little hands. Snatched ‘em!”

On Michele Bauchmann: “I hear she was born in Canada. Yes, Michele, this is how it’s starts. Just letting you know.”

On Donald Trump: “We all know about your credentials and breadth of experience…You fired Gary Busey, and these are the kind of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well-handled, sir. Well-handled.”
