CBS ordered a new pilot and additional scripts for an as-yet-unnamed Rob Schneider comedy, as a possible midseason replacement show. The semi-autobiographical story centers on Schneider as a swinging bachelor (just like Deuce Bigalow!) who unexpectedly settles down with a Mexican-American woman with a super-tight family. Apparently, CBS liked the concept but wants to recast several of the actors. Let’s cross our fingers that this show isn’t necessary. [Deadline]
