And now for the second quasi–Party Down reunion of the day: Adult Swim’s Grey’s Anatomy spoof Childrens Hospital has an episode planned for this season called “Party Down,” with cameos from PD’s Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, and Ryan Hansen, in which, according to creator Rob Corddry, “It’s discovered that Glenn has never had a bar mitzvah, so Malin Akerman’s character Valerie throws him [one], and it’s catered.” (For the record, Glenn is played by Ken Marino, who has his own Party Down character, so, you know, they have to sort that out.) If this is in fact a committed Party Down tribute, then Childrens Hospital is setting an awesome precedent: When CH, too, is inevitably canceled too soon, some other cult comedy will have to pay it tribute in full-episode form.
