Apparently Katy Perry isn’t the only one interested in smell-o-vision, as Samsung seems convinced that they might have finally figured out how to let you smell what you watch on your home television. Researchers from the University of California San Diego and the electronics giant are teaming up to create a small device that will emit thousands of odors depending on what you’re watching. Smell-o-vision isn’t a new concept of course; it dates back to early last century, but it’s never managed to catch on.
