Alan Ball Will Stay With True Blood for Season Five

Alan Ball.

Prior to season four of True Blood, showrunner Alan Ball said that he was negotiating with HBO for one more year, but might leave after that. Yesterday at the Television Critics’ Association, though, he seemed a lot more optimistic about his future with the show. “There will be an end for me at some point but I just closed a deal to do another season,” he told the press. “I don’t have any desire to leave because I’m having more fun than I ever had in my life.” Your weekly procession of nude monsters should proceed without a hiccup.
