Alex Trebek is hobbling around on crutches today after chasing a burglar down a hotel hallway in San Francisco at 2:30 a.m. this morning. After a 56-year-old woman entered Trebek’s room and stole cash and a bracelet from him, the Jeopardy! host started running after her. That’s when his 71-year-old Achilles tendon snapped. Don’t worry, though, Trebek says he’s fine. He’s getting surgery Friday and will be in a cast for six weeks, which should provide ample time for him to work on his album. [ABC]
