Daniel Radcliffe recently revealed that kicking his alcohol habit helped him be a better boyfriend to a girlfriend he’s been dating right underneath our noses. Now Radcliffe, who next appears in the horror movie The Woman in Black, has some more things to say about the relationships and the movies he’s drawn to: “I like playing disenfranchised characters, like Arthur in The Woman in Black,” the actor told MTV. “He’s someone who’s grieving and whose grief has put him to the edge of madness and also has sort of made him ostracize himself from society. I like the dark stuff. I find it more interesting. I don’t want to make a boring love story about two people who meet and then are happy. That’s boring, and that doesn’t exist.” So now we know his relationship is alcohol-free, but torrid nonetheless. [MTV]
