Jennifer Love Hewitt will co-star in the screen adaptation of the popular Los Angeles play Jewtopia, a broad romantic comedy of sorts. Jewtopia follows Chris, a gentile who wants to marry into the Chosen people “so he’ll never have to make another decision” (according to the play’s website), and his friend Adam, a Jew who agrees to help his friend infiltrate the Hebraic singles scene. Ivan Sergei will play Chris, and Hewitt will play Allison, the girl he falls for. Apparently it’s a “cross between Wedding Crashers and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” What’s the opposite of dayenu?
