What exactly does Charlie Sheen have in mind for his return to television? We may have cracked the code. Sheen told TMZ today that his new sitcom will be based on a film produced a few years ago by his friend Joe Roth, and that the initials of the movie are “A.M.” Though Roth himself hasn’t produced a movie with those initials, his former production company Revolution Studios has: Anger Management, a 2003 comedy starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. Might Sheen have his eye on the confrontational, out-of-his-mind aggression guru played by Nicholson? We’ll soon see, though the project — whatever its provenance — still hasn’t been picked up by a network. UPDATE: TMZ confirms our suspicions. [TMZ]
