In an effort to ensure that there’s never a moment in prime time when at least one major network isn’t airing a lawyer procedural, ABC has ordered a pilot script for a series based around Lincoln Lawyer, the Matthew McConaughey movie based on Michael Connelly novels that recently did okay at the box office ($85 million), but got much better reviews than you might expect. (So, it got okay reviews.) Could this finally be what it takes to get McConaughey to slum it every week on TV? Probably not — lawyers spend too much time wearing shirts. [Variety]
