Big Boi, who was arrested this weekend in Miami for possession of ecstasy pills, MDMA powder, and Viagra, was released yesterday on $16,000 bail. His lawyer released a statement defending the rapper: “While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated.” Also, Big tweeted a sort of cryptic explanation of his own: “Shiiiiit they said it was the Love Boat.” It’s unclear whether Big was referring to the Rafael Palmeiro juice, or to the fact that he was on a cruise ship before being arrested, or both.
