Chord Overstreet’s exit from Glee left one narrative arc up in the air: Mercedes’s love life. Now Ryan Murphy et al. have filled the gap with Friday Night Lights and Cougar Town alum Lamarcus Tinker, who will play Marcus, a super-encouraging boyfriend. Brad Falchuk described the character as “pretty cool” at Comic-Con, but radness aside, this is a bad sign for The Glee Project’s remaining male contestants, no?
