Josh Brolin Will Lead Spike Lee’s Oldboy

Josh Brolin.

Jonah Hex threw a wrench into Josh Brolin’s nascent comeback as a Hollywood leading man, but he’ll get three more high-profile chances to deliver over the next few years. Brolin’s already shot Men in Black III (where he plays the younger version of Tommy Lee Jones) and is currently toplining Ruben Fleischer’s star-studded period drama Gangster Squad, and now Deadline reports that he’ll play the lead in Oldboy, a remake of the 2003 Korean film that will be directed by Spike Lee. The revenge thriller once had Brolin’s Men in Black III co-star Will Smith attached to star for Steven Spielberg. [Deadline]
