If you’ve listened to even an hour of pop radio this summer, you have heard Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything” at least a half-dozen times. Having listened, you know there’s a line in the song in which Pitbull raps, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.” An innocuous cheap shot? Sure. Grounds for a lawsuit? No way. Unless you’re Lindsay Lohan, who filed a suit against Pitbull claiming the line is “destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.” The suit also calls Lohan “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild.” As ridiculous as all this seems, recall that the last time Lindsay sued someone for something like this (the E*TRADE milkaholic), the case settled out of court.
