Simon Cowell Has Some Very Eccentric Habits

Simon Cowell.

If you can’t tell by his consistently monochrome, V-necked wardrobe, Simon Cowell is a creature of habit; still, GQ’s dissection of his daily and weekly routines is pretty impressive for its sheer levels of Jeff Lewis–like specificity. Each morning, breakfast is brought in on a tray after two presses of the alarm clock snooze button, and it always consists of hot water with lemon, then papaya juice with lime, then oatmeal, then tea, then a spinach smoothie, an antioxidant smoothie, and a super smoothie with seven fruits (and if you’re curious, GQ has those recipes down to the smallest increment, with details like “20 milliliters of apple puree, 10 milliliters of lingonberry juice, and 8 milliliters of acerola juice”). Breakfast is followed up by Hanna-Barbera cartoons (Cowell carries backup DVDs of The Flintstones when traveling), and once per week, Cowell then chills his arm and submits to a half-hour IV drip of B12, magnesium, and vitamin C. “It sounds odd, but when you have it, it is fantastic,” he told the magazine. “One girl came down and actually had two orgasms during the treatment.” Lord. We’re going back to bed. [GQ]
