Third ‘Bridget Jones’ Installment In the Works

After a bit of a big-screen lull, Renee Zellweger will find herself in the limelight once again in a second Bridget Jones sequel, which Entertainment Weekly reports has been finalized. According to Colin Firth, who plays Jones’s good-guy husband Marc Darcy, Jones will leave him for long enough to get knocked up by Daniel Cleaver, Hugh Grant’s caddish character. “And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?” Firth said. With Bridesmaids director Paul Feig in talks to helm the film, there’s a chance it might actually save the Jones series from the reputation earned by the abysmal second film, The Edge of Reason.
