While Hurricane Irene was busy terrifying everybody along the Eastern Seaboard, acts like Odd Future, Metronomy, and the Strokes had to cross the Atlantic to find an audience, which they did at this year’s Reading Festival. But others, like Mos Def and Lauryn Hill, hovered near the Pacific for another installment for the traveling hip-hop bonanza known as Rock the Bells. Also, the Spinal Tap-ish-ish Cults somehow ended up in Sweden? Sure, why not!
