HBO has renewed True Blood for a fifth season that will air next summer, the network announced today, shocking absolutely no one. Alan Ball mentioned at Comic-Con a few weeks ago that the next season would show how Eric made Pam and feature a supernatural strip club, so any concerns that Sookie and her pals and their pals and their enemies would ever stop taking their clothes off are completely moot. No word yet, though, on whether anyone will be wearing the Sad Mesh Shorts of Amnesia that Eric’s been sporting all season.
