The project revolves around a female cop who, in the course of running down a case, discovers “a magical world that exists within New York City,” Deadline reported late yesterday. While this may sound like a dubious premise at first, the series is being executive produced by Michael Green, who’s already working on supernatural horror series The River for ABC and whose résumé includes a few big-name otherwordly properties: most recently Kings, NBC’s one-season Bible drama set in a fictional present-day kingdom, and that network’s superpower bonanza Heroes. While both series may have ultimately fizzled, they certainly had vision, so maybe it’s third time lucky for Green. [Deadline]
