NBC Will Air Free Agents, Up All Night Multiple Times Each

You will have no excuse not to check out the pilots for new NBC comedies Up All Night and Free Agents: The network just told affiliates that it plans to air early episodes of the two shows on three different nights and in three different time slots, the better to encourage audience sampling. After premiering Wednesday, September 14 from 10 to 11 p.m. (behind the America’s Got Talent finale), NBC plans to air encores of the pilots twice: On Thursday, September 14 (behind reruns of The Office and Community) and then again on Saturday, September 17 from 9 to 10 p.m. Up and another new NBC comedy, Whitney, will then get two weeks of exposure on Fridays, with repeats airing from 8 to 9 p.m. on September 23 and September 30. Networks have been experimenting with same-week repeats of new shows for years now, but the triple-play for the two comedies during premiere week is rare.
