Just one week after its release, Star Wars: The Complete Saga has done $84 million in global sales, making the nine-disc set the highest-selling and most preordered Blu-ray title ever. Given the limited history of Blu-ray itself, the distinction certainly isn’t the franchise’s hardest-won record, though George Lucas’s continued ability to sell so many people something they already have is kind of incredible — particularly when you consider the amount of time his customer base devotes to complaining about the process.
