On the whole, would you say that Madonna’s infamous Venice Film Festival remark about loathing hydrangeas has been a good or bad thing for the singer turned director? We will grant you that it sure was unfriendly! Still, the line was just so campy, and it did kind of distract people from the terrible reviews that her film W.E. was getting, so maybe it wasn’t such a bad thing after all. That certainly seems to be the line of thinking that has led to this new video, uploaded by Madonna to YouTube, which satirizes the entire flower free-for-all. It is, no joke, perhaps the best thing Madonna has made in years. Well played, Madge. Well played. (Also, leave it on the floor now. It won’t get any better than this.)
