Leonard Cohen confirmed that he’ll be releasing a new album next year — the first record from the 77-year-old singer since 2004. Old Ideas, Cohen’s twelfth studio album, will contain ten songs, which he’s already recorded (and at least one of which he’s already performed on tour). “I’ve played [the record] for a few people, and they seem to like it,” Cohen told reporters while accepting a writing award in Oviedo, Spain. Yes, Leonard Cohen, international treasure and beloved icon, people seem to like your music. [Reuters]
