New Girl continues to bolster its quirky-brunette cred: Lizzy Caplan is joining the show for a three-episode stint as Nick’s new crush. According to the Hollywood Reporter, she’ll play Julia, a well-educated woman whom Nick (Jake M. Johnson, a.k.a. “the nice one”) falls for but fears will drop him when she finds out about his schlubby roommates, only to discover that she in fact has “anger management issues.” There’s been a Caplan-shaped hole in our hearts since the demise of Party Down, so maybe Girl can keep her around for longer, and she can go on fun lady adventures with Zooey Deschanel, and it can be wonderful.
