The first trailer for The Lorax is here, and it is very cute. So cute you might forget its important ecological message about speaking for the trees or whatever? Maybe.
But look at that fluffy little Seussian mustache! The biggest leap here, other than giving the Lorax a more sardonic edge, is the inclusion of a full-fledged Once-ler — in the book, we only see his hands and arms, but here, he’s a cartoony Ed Helms. The trailer loses some points for the overused Polyphonic Spree song, but it earns points back for looking so candy-colored and adorable.
