We’ve already got a movie rivalry going between two competing Snow White projects, and now an even more specific battle royale may be brewing: Two movies about scandalous artist’s muse Effie Gray, one starring Dakota Fanning, the other starring Keira Knightley. The first movie has already begun production with a script by Emma Thompson, and it stars Fanning as virginal 1850s teenager Euphemia Gray, who gets involved in a loveless, sexless marriage with much older British art critic John Ruskin. Now, though, Thompson on Hollywood reports that Knightley is in talks for a second Effie Gray movie, Untouched, which is seeking buyers at this week’s American Film Market. It’s the most action Gray’s ever seen!
