Comedian and FX rising star Louis C.K. announced on Conan O’Brien’s Friday show that his next comedy special, a performance at the New York Comedy Festival, will not, we repeat not, be one of those coveted HBO productions, or even a swanky new Netflix- or Hulu-only affair. In fact, the “profane comic” is going bare-bones, offering the special on his website for $5 a pop, payable via Paypal. “That’s the only way you can see it,” he told O’Brien. “I won’t really make any money, but it’s more fun that way.”
