From the band’s statement: “His bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time. Iommi is currently working with doctors to establish the best treatment plan. The ‘Iron Man’ of Rock and Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.” It’s not clear whether Iommi’s diagnosis will affect the band’s planned live reunion — they’d announced a worldwide tour for this summer — but a new album is still in the works. Get well soon, Tony Iommi.
