With Pitt, a $125 million budget, and Quantum of Solace director Marc Forster onboard, the screen adaptation of Max Brooks’s zombie epic was already an ambitious affair (so financially ambitious, actually, that it almost got pulled by Paramount). But a recent L.A. Times article suggests that the movie’s producers might set their sights even higher. “Forster and Paramount Pictures each view ‘World War Z’ as a trilogy,” the piece notes at one point, though sourcing or any further explanation are notably absent. Still, for Brooks purists or individuals who are interested in watching Brad Pitt battle undead creatures on a large screen, this is a promising report. Three Brad Pitt zombie movies! Just make sure he doesn’t eat the zombies, please. That’s going too far.
