The video for “Tomorrow,” the first single off the Cranberries’ Roses (out February 28), may give rise to some alarming interpretations of where, exactly, Dolores O’Riordan has been these past ten years. But let’s skip past the chains and the weird rose-covered dungeon (with a home movie theater!) and focus on the important development, which is a new Cranberries song! If you, like certain Vulture bloggers, have fond memories of torturing your loved ones with road trips soundtracked exclusively by “Dreams,” then you’re already sold on the pleasures of “Tomorrow” (they are the same, basically, except with less yodeling). If not, then maybe you will enjoy this simple, strummy throwback as a break from today’s more complicated listening. Anyway, welcome back, Cranberries!
